Paleontological Lab, Earth System Science
The research group PaleoNeo has a well-equipped paleontological lab that is an integral part of the Earth System Science program within the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Universidad del Rosario. The lab is equipped with a Nikon stereomicroscope featuring a camera and adjustable arm for the purpose of photographing and observing fossils. Additionally, there is a 3D scanner available for capturing detailed three-dimensional models of specimens. Furthermore, the lab includes facilities for conducting chemical and molecular analyses on fossils, enabling advanced research in these areas.

The Paleontological Collection (UR-CP) housed fossil vertebrates, invertebrates, plants and microfossils that are part of the research projects and publications produced by the PaleoNeo group. They are storage at conditions where humidity and temperature is monitored. They are available for access to the scientific community and students working on this particular fossil groups. This collection is registered in Directory of Geological and Paleontological Museums and Collections produced by the Colombian Geological Survey
